Robert T. Fried, PMP is a Program Manager at CA, one of the world’s leading independent, enterprise management software companies. Prior to joining CA, he co-founded Minton Solutions, a New Jersey based project management consultancy. Before that Mr. Fried spent 15 years working at Fujitsu Consulting, AT&T, and NCR Corporation. Mr. Fried is a popular speaker, trainer, consultant, coach & mentor, and an industry certified project manager with global experience in a wide variety of industries. As a senior level Program Manager, Mr. Fried has extensive experience managing complex business transformations, information technology solutions, and process & methodology development & re-engineering programs. He is an experienced Program/Project Recovery specialist having turned around many projects for a variety of different companies.
Mr. Fried has delivered numerous presentations on project management related topics including Work Breakdown Structures & Scope Management, Project Planning & Control, Project Recovery, Project Management Skills Gap Assessments, and PM Career Development. He is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and attained PMP certification in 1994.
Recently Mr. Fried completed a project for PMI as a Core Team member and Content Team lead for the development of the Practice Standard for Work Breakdown Structures – Second Edition, a PMI global standard. He is currently a Director at Large and the former Vice President of Professional Development on the PMI Troubled Projects Specific Interest Group (TPSIG) Board of Directors. Mr. Fried is presently co-authoring a book on Work Breakdown Structures. He holds a Master Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, an M.B.A. from Seton Hall University and a B.A. from Clark University.
