The PMI Troubled Projects SIG offers forums for the professional exchange of ideas on a myriad of topics related to the management of troubled projects. Experts and practitioners from around the world share their knowledge and experience.

The Troubled Projects SIG is back on its feet and plans to be in the forefront for developing tips, tricks, and tools to provide guidance for troubled project recovery and more importantly, troubled project prevention.

Products rolling out in 2004 for our TPSIG membership are:

  1. Project Doctor
    • The TPSIG is undergoing an effort to develop a methodology which standardizes the handling of troubled projects and supports professionals who have to deal with them.
  2. Web Journal
    • Repository for white papers on troubled project related situations. The papers are peer reviewed and accepted prior to publication. Two co-editors will ensure accuracy and technical presentation to provide TPSIG members with quality resources. A perfect opportunity to share lessons learned.
  3. Project Dilemmas
    • Case scenarios offering TPSIG membership an opportunity to offer solutions.
  4. Bi-Monthly Newsletter
    • Keeping members current on happenings within the TPSIG BOD and activities the TPSIG is involved in.
  5. Interactive Web Discussions
    • Practitioners with questions can pose their questions on our website and responses/solution ideas will be provided.
  6. Professional Development Opportunities
    • We are currently working on Professional Development Opportunities for our member.
The Troubled Projects SIG will help you gain valuable new perspectives to resolve and/or avoid troubled project situations.
